      Tackling Sentimental Papers

      Tackling Sentimental Papers

This week in Tidy 2021, we will be facing our sentimental papers. What counts as sentimental papers? Letters, Cards, Children’s drawings, (your OWN drawings!) Reports, Certificates and so on. Not Photos though which we will tackle over the next few weeks. There is no denying that this is a tough category. I say to cover it in a week, in reality it may need much longer. Tears, both happy and sad, happen fairly frequently during this category when I am working with clients

      Finding Joy in Memorabilia

I can’t believe we are almost at Halloween which is my youngest’s birthday and the last birthday of the year for us. Once it’s over, I start to think about Christmas (am I allowed to say that word yet?!). We have now, except for Christmas Decorations which we’ll come to in December, finished Komono and are moving into the Sentimental Categories. With that short introduction, this week we’re moving onto Decorative i

As we start the Autumn here in the UK, we really need to give some thought to winter. Whilst I’m hopeful that we can skip the lockdowns that we experienced last winter, the warnings are there that it may still be a rocky road and I will be amazed if we get through without some form of restrictions being imposed. So let’s make sure that our homes are a sanctuary for us to retreat to. Now is definitely the time to go through your cupboards and fridge to check that you have eno

      Organising Pet belongings

I’m guessing that most people don’t have quite as many pets as we do with 8 horses, 5 dogs, 3 cats, 2 bunnies, poultry and fish, but it is easy to rack up many belongings for our precious animals. As always with getting organised, the first step is to take stock. Gather all of the category from wherever it is spread around your home and bring it together into one place so that you can easily see it. Sub categorise it and then see how much you have of each. As you will know
